Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering

About the Subject:

Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century with the commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. The field now covers a range of sub-disciplines including those that deal with power, optoelectronics, digital electronics, analog electronics, computer science, artificial intelligence, control systems, electronics, signal processing and telecommunications.

Topics to be covered in this Seminar:

Electrical circuits & Measurements-Ohm‟s Law – Kirchoff‟s Laws – Steady State Solution of DC Circuits – Waveforms and RMS Value. Electrical Mechanics- Basic Equations and Applications of DC Generators, DC Motors, Single Phase Transformer, single phase induction Motor. Semiconductor devices and applications– Half wave and Full wave Rectifiers. Bipolar Junction Transistor – CB, CE, CC Configurations and Characteristics – Elementary Treatment of Small Signal Amplifier. Digital Electronics-Binary Number System – Logic Gates – Boolean Algebra – Half and Full Adders – Flip-Flops – Registers and Counters – A/D and D/A Conversion. Fundamentals of communication Engineering-Types of Signals– Modulation and Demodulation. Communication Systems.
